This recipe had bang-up flavor and was easy to make. I recommend cooking it on medium heat rather than medium high; the first one I cooked ended up a little burnt. Turning the estrus down fabricated them perfect.

This was terrific! Great gustatory modality, not bland in any fashion. I used McCormick hamburger seasoning instead of Montreal Steak seasoning and footing sirloin. I topped this with peppered gravy and we had such a great meal that hubby and I even split the final (second) piece. We usually don't swallow seconds for nutrition witting reasons simply this was so delicious nosotros both just couldn't resist a picayune more. Thanks, this is the best recipe!!!
08/12/2009
This was sooo skillful. Cheers so much for this easy tasty recipe! p.s. I used ritz crackers instead of saltines and they turned out fantastic!

Don't hate me, but I didn't exactly follow the recipe. :) I had leftover "Hugh'south Dry Rub" & it's similar to the ingredients listed then I used that adding a petty dill (one/4t dill, 2 12T rub). I had more cubed steak than listed then put the spices direct on the meat. So the flour/saltine combination. And then egg/milk. And so flour/saltine again. I had enough of the coating. Didn't brand extra. Anybody liked it, but information technology didn't wow me. The blanket I'll definately brand over again - adding spices to information technology, or to both information technology & the meat. (Four ounces saltines is a sleeve, btw - provided you have a pound box). Allowing the meat to lose its coolness, helped the breading adhere to the steak & not stick to the pan (I think anyway). I cooked them over (gas) medium for nearly 5 minutes on each side. One time (& deplorable if it grosses you lot out) the wet, pinkish color starts to come to the tiptop of the steak, it'southward time to plow over. Using half butter & one-half olive oil is a yum combination for panfrying. Oh, made white gravy, as well. Skillful idea.

We don't purchase meet from a retail store, we purchase a one-half of cow and sus scrofa at a time, this was soooo tender and the next day I took some to work for lunch and reheated in the microwave and it was only as skilful

03/01/2010
This was my second time making country fried steak and this recipe was past far the best. I cooked mine a petty longer to give it that really crunchy texture and I added extra Montreal seasoning. This tasted then practiced throughgout the entire steak you could taste the seasonings and then it did not taste bland at all. We will keep this recipe for sure.
08/09/2010
This was a piece of cake and quick recipe. At offset information technology looked a picayune bland to me and I wasn't sure how it was going to plough out... but I live in a house with iii men..all thumbs upwardly. I added worcestershire sauce for alittle spice.
09/11/2011
This restaurant quality...and then easy too! All I had on hand were Ritz Crackers, but they worked out just as well.
03/05/2012

My husband and stepson loved it too. I didn't change anything most the recipe and I really think this was the best cfs I've e'er had! Thanks for your recipe!
03/05/2010
I was very impressed! It was simple to make and tasted great, my family enjoyed it.
01/02/2012
Of all the country fried steak recipes I've ever fabricated, this is by far the best one, but I'm not impressed enough to go far once more (my hubs agrees). For all the spice called for, I found my steaks to exist terribly bland. And, every bit with most recipes that call for a crushed cracker blanket, I found it nearly impossible for any of it to adhere to my meat. I call back more than of the cracker bits ended up in my skillet than on the cube steaks themselves.... I have one more annotate to add. Two tablespoons of oil is not most plenty to saute with, let alone fry with. I had to add WAY more than oil than called for to brown only two steaks. Of course, the suggested oestrus setting didn't help either (I fried my steaks on medium heat because they were burning on the suggested medium-high temperature). Served with mom's country gravy (Nancy Smith), corn, mashed potatoes and biscuits, this was a filling but disappointingly mediocre meal. Thanks anyways, Laura. :-)

I recieved good reviews for this and it is soooo like shooting fish in a barrel and fast. Perfect!

This was very, very good. Go light on the salt until yous taste it. The only modify I made was to use deer steaks pounded out thin. It was so tender and so good with milk gravy and garlic mashed potatoes. I'thousand sure the whole family will honey this.
01/01/2012
Actually good. Elementary to make.
12/11/2010
These were pretty banal. I recollect next time I'll add manner more seasoning to the meat, and breading. But otherwise good.
09/13/2012
I loved this recipe! Always had a hard fourth dimension getting my cube steak crispy but this made it come out perfect!
01/23/2012
This recipe is like shooting fish in a barrel to make, but breading did not stick well.
02/27/2012
I fabricated this for my family final night and we all loved it, nosotros recently moved to Hawaii and restaurants don't serve country fried steak, I've been missing it. This was wonderful and easy. Thanks
02/14/2010
Anybody loved this, but I wish this recipe had the sauce for the steak on here. I used a couple of tablespoons of the flour mix to a couple tablespoons of the oil from the pan. So slowly whisked in whole milk until thick and bubbly. This turned out very well.
09/18/2011
Today was the first time I had fabricated fried steak. four minutes was too long on each side. After the 1st steak, I cooked them closer to 3 minutes. The egg and milk mixture wasn't quite enough for all 4 steaks. They may accept been larger than the recipe chosen for. I also used Chicago steak seasoning b/c it was what I had. Withal, they came out pretty well and I volition definitely utilise this recipe again.
12/xv/2009
my hubby just loved it i simply added a teaspoon and a half of paprka. jus perfect. What I did do, is I left the flour mixture next to the fryer and simply put it back in the flour earlier frying. OOOh Laaaa Laaa. came out perfecto. then let it drain and keep on warm till ready to sell
05/01/2011

07/31/2011

11/04/2010
This was excellent. I haven't made Chicken Fried Steak in a long while simply it was great. The flavor was wonderful. I did use ritz crackers instead of saltines. I think thats what did it. Volition definently brand this once again. Served with mashed potatoes and gravy of class. The family loved it!!! Even my twin 3 year old boys.
08/23/2011

02/24/2011
Loved it! Fabricated it for husband for his altogether... even my picky 10 year sometime liked it! It's gonna become a family favorite!!! :)
08/16/2010
This recipe was great. I added actress seasoning though. When making this recipe make certain you press the steak very difficult into the breading. This way it wont fall off when your are eating it. I deep fried this instead of pan frying. It took about vii min. for two steaks. It turned out great and had a lot of flavour!
08/26/2010
Didn't really taste like country fried steak
10/19/2010
Very like shooting fish in a barrel recipe to follow. I followed all directions. My just complaint was that it was a bit on the salty side. I will use low sodium crackers next time.

09/18/2011

01/18/2011

Information technology'southward a adept thing this isn't easier to brand because I would probably eat information technology every week! I had NEVER made country fried steak before so I figured I'd give it a shot. I really like the seasoning in the flour mix. Yet, I had to brand mine gluten complimentary. So, for anyone wondering, you can make this GF by using all purpose GF flour instead of regular flour, also as 4 oz of GF bread crumbs, panko, or do like I did and crush up some GF salted crackers of your liking. I will admit I grabbed a recipe for a gravy from another fried steak recipe on here. But that was basically using the drippings from the pan afterwards frying the steak, and and then adding some onion, milk, salt and pepper, and corn starch for thickening. But the drippings in the pan from THIS recipe is what made the sauce so good. All in all this was delicious! Well done!
03/01/2011
The crackers were a bully addition rather than just plain flour. I crunched them to about dime sized pieces and afraid they were going to be too big. But to my surprise, they actually helped to add a crunch to the steaks that I have been wanting. Loved the seasoning. I punded the steaks again before dredging them, and I think it really helped for them to be and then tender. Thoroughly loved!
08/09/2011
Awesome and easy recipe. I never knew how piece of cake it was to make country fried steak until I cooked it tonight! I can't cook well, YET, but this tasted so great.

10/fourteen/2012
My cube steaks were 'pre seasoned' when purchased, which I think is why they seemed salty. Followed the recipe exact and made a nice crunch on the exterior and were very tender. Keeper!
07/xix/2010

08/25/2015
I have been melt chicken fried steak for the final 6 yrs at to the lowest degree. I gotta say, I decided to try a new recipe. This is the all-time e'er!
06/05/2015
I seasoned the meat with the meat seasoning, added the residue to the flour mixture, I double dipped considering I like a thick crust, and a tip for it staying crispy till everyone finishes their steak is to let the battered steaks sit near 15 minutes before frying. And for a healthy version, fry information technology in coconut oil!!! Less guilt and you cant tell the difference, it handles high estrus nicely!
xi/04/2009
i didnt get to utilize the crackers, because nosotros were out, so i dont know if thats the reasong me crust didnt stick like it should, only information technology was still GOOD!!! my hubby LOVE information technology. and he says i deceit cook! LOL

This was the all-time I have made! It would have been a 5 star only needed salt! This is after the season salt , saltines and I didn't have garlic powder so used garlic salt I did cutting back a niggling in that thinking it would be to much salt. I as well used dried minced onion instead if pulverization crusade that's what I had. And just had Chicken Montreal seasoning so used that. Fried up prissy and crispy and served ii with whipped potatoes and white milk gravy. YUMMY!! Use enough oil to fry add extra as needed :)
12/23/2009

I was leery of the steak seasoning, but I used information technology anyway. The seasonings were perfect. The only change I made was using panko instead of cracker crumbs only cuz I didn't have any. Panko works just also.
07/26/2010
The flavour was great but unfortunately the "chaff" fell off of the steak quite easily while slicing.

WOW! This is the all-time country fried steak! My husband loved it then much. I actually used circular steak and then it was thicker but it still tasted then delicious.
